Wilhelm and his brother emigrated to the United States in the late 1840’s and settled in Sharon, Walworth Cty., Wisconsin, where they were a saloon owner and a farmer, respectively. The farm still exists, and a wealth of old records and newspaper articles, many of which have been dutifully passed on by researcher Chirley Sisk who has been wonderful tracking down information of their lives and deaths in this small community near the Illinois border.
