, 28.06.1888 Bremen, 29.08.1967 Hamburg, [I6951], The seventh child of Peter Christopher (1839-1912) and Anna Catharine Mathilde Poppe, nee Dannemann (1851-1903), Johanne was born in Bremen on June 28, 1888.Called "Hanna", she was slender with blue eyes and blond hair.
Since she did not want to be a teacher like her sisters, she quit the seminar with Janson after two years and accompanied a well-known family-Captain Franz Krause and his wife- as a foster daughter to New York. She lived there for twelve years, making frequent trips back to Germany,
She was overseas during World War I, part of the time with her aunt Hermine (1849-1943), her father's sister, in Jersey City, New Jersey.
After the war, she wed Robert Lubeck, and they removed to Hamburg, Germany, but after December 1934, they resided in their own home at Wandsbeck-Jenfeld, Hindenburg Allee #262.
Out of this union there was issue as follows:
*1)Rolf Arno Lubeck (1921-1921)
*2)Lotte Lubeck (1924-2009)
She died on January 24, 1946, at the age of fifty-seven or August 29, 1967..
According to Doris Conrad’s E-mail, “When Lotte came home from school she found her dead in bed. I suppose it was a stroke. Her heart was weak for many years. In spite of all she had planned a trip to the Black Forest.�
