Manuel is listed in the “Date of Authors in Portuguese Dictionary, Vol VI, Lisbon 1999. He started his activity as writer in 1960. CONT Henrich Poppe aus Bremen hat im Jahre 1759 einen Antrag auf Emigration nach Lissabon gestellt, (Vorgang R 230 in der Liste “Einnahmen von Abzugsgeldern 1608-1811�?, Bremen). Usually a German would marry an English girl in her church but the children would be baptised in the German Lutheran Church.
