2930	Johann POPPE «aus 2901» , 04.06.1837 Kirchhammelwarden bei Bremen, 1921 Brake, N: or Brake near Bremen, [I7455], a sea captain who operated a string of ships, including the “Margarethe�? for 25 years. , N: Merchant ship captain, Johann went to Bremen with his parents in 1839. He became a captain on merchant ships but quit early on in order to remain on land. His wife’s parents had a general store which later became a drugstore. It became known as the Weser Drugstore on Adolf-Hitler-Strasse in Brake. He and his wife resided in Brake. He and his wife were over eighty when they died. They had tweo sons both married with a total of four grandchildren and one unmarried daughter.
