Stepfather of Robert Sengstacke Abott.
A Hermann Sengstake served on board the latter at least five times.
Hermann’s travels took him to Savannah, Georgia. Here he met a a slave woman named Tama Williams. He bought her from the seller’s block there and in time married her. Together they had two children, the first in 1849.

A Hermann Sengstake is listed on Amncestry.com as being on board the ships “Anna�, “Auguste and Meline�, “Margaretha�, and “Johannes� between 1825-1831. He served on board the latter at least five times during that period.
